'Tis no surprise. When you build your entire campaign on targeting specific groups based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, etc. then of course your legislation will give sanction to more bigotry and systematic prejudice.

This is what happens when the people do not truly have the political voices we were taught since grade school. We did not elect this president. "They" did. "They" are seeking to undo the advancement of the American people that was established by the previous president and legislation.
To ban any particular group of people who are willing and able to serve their country is anti-American. Then again...it's actually pretty American when you think about American history.
Who's next? I can take a wild stab in the dark and strike anyone who is not wealthy, cis-male, heterosexual, and of European descent.
Naturally, I could go on and on but I summed it up best in a poem I wrote in response to stumbling across this news a day or so ago entitled "Tweets Read Around The World".

The good news is we are not alone. The people stand together. We individually and collectively work against the antagonistic attitudes that directly impact the well-being of millions of Americans. His tweets may have been read around the world, but we, the people, can continue to make progress resound throughout our communities. It's personal, good people, even when you are not directly impacted. It's only a matter of time. Let's make it our business.
